Thank you for participating in the
2008 WSSA STACK UP!

and helping to set a new Guinness World Record® for

“Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day.”

The unofficial count to set a new Guinness World Record continues to climb as verification forms flow nonstop from the WSSA fax machine. The number to beat is 143,530, and early projections have that figure topped by a substantial margin.  Stackers from around the world participated in the 3rd annual STACK UP! held on November 13th in conjunction with Guinness World Records Day 2008.

“The STACK UP! is our biggest and most far reaching event of the year, and no doubt, this is our best one yet,” said WSSA Director Mark Lingle.  This worldwide stacking event covered 25 countries and included nearly 1,500 schools, organizations, families and individuals.  The stacking stories continue to pour in and many will be featured on the WSSA website.

To be counted in this year’s STACK UP!, participants were required to sport stack for 30 minutes anytime day or night on November 13th.  A variety of suggested stacking activities was provided by Speed Stacks, Inc., the primary sponsor of STACK UP! Local organizers then completed the Guinness Verification Form, signed by a witness of the event, and forwarded it via fax or mail to the WSSA to be counted.

Please note the deadline to receive verification forms is Tuesday, November 18th.  Once all of the sheets are tallied, and Guinness requirements are met, the count and appropriate forms will be forwarded to Guinness headquarters for validation.

Stay tuned to the WSSA home page for the final STACK UP! count.

This will be submitted to Guinness for official recognition of breaking last year’s record and

setting a new world record in sport stacking!
