World Record matched in 3-3-3
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Sport Stacking Championships provided some world-record stacking this year. For Lawrence Maceren, it was where he tied the Overall World Record in the 3-3-3 with a blistering time of 1.80 seconds. The 13-year-old from Freehold, New Jersey, joins Steven Purugganan in the world record books for this event. The Mid-Atlantic Championships took place in Laurel, Delaware in January and drew 190 stackers from Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. In addition to Lawrence's Overall World Record, there were five Division World Records set at this tournament. Steven Purugganan from Massachusetts claimed all the individual events for 12-year-olds with 1.81 seconds for the 3-3-3, 2.21 seconds for the 3-6-3 and 6.11 seconds for the Cycle.
