| World Records | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A world record can only be set when a stacker competes in a WSSA sanctioned event. Sanctioned events are either tournaments, or special events. A tournament or special event is sanctioned when the Tournament or Special Event Director agrees to follow the WSSA rules and procedures which include (but are not limited to) video-taping the finals, with three trained judges watching each final stacker. A WSSA sanctioned tournament can be held at any level; school, district, state/ provincial, nation or world. There are two categories of World Records. There are Overall World Records, set by the fastest stackers in the world in any event(s). There are also Division World Record holders, who are the fastest stackers in their age division in any event(s). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| World Sport Stacking Championships Winners: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
World Sport Stacking Championships Winners are the overall winners in each official event offered at the World Sport Stacking Championships. These winners may or may not also hold a World Record for the time that won them this title. A stacker can be the winner of an event(s) at the World Championships without setting a new world record. The WSSA honors both the OVERALL WSSA World Championships winners and DIVISION World Championship winners. In 2003 and 2004, the only two official events offered at the World Championships where a stacker could be a champion at any age, were the Individual 3-6-3 stack and the Cycle stack. Stackers that were 6 and under could also compete in the Individual 3-3-3 competition. In 2005 the WSSA added two more official events. These included the Individual 3-3-3 stack for all age divisions and the “Doubles” Competition. In 2006, WSSA World Sport Stacking Championships featured two new events; the 3-6-3 Timed Team Relay (1 team vs. the clock) and the Individual All Around Champion (a combined time of all 3 Individual events). |
