"It's all about the speed!!! In our school we do lots of fun things with sport stacking!

In our school we have a stacking club. We do relays. We also get to time ourselves a lot and sometimes we compete against every one!

We also do partner races where one person uses one hand and the other uses one hand - we are pretty good at that!"

What is 'Doubles'?
Doubles Competition involves a team of two working together to complete the Cycle Stack as fast as they can!

The challenge of this event is one Stacker must use only their right hand while the other uses only their left. In other words. . .TWO stack as ONE!

Key Points:
This is a scheduled Event for the following
:

6 DIVISIONS:
PK-1 2-5 6-8 9-12 OPEN Child/Parent

Open division includes college-age and older.
Teams can include boys only, girls only and coed.
Mixed-grade teams compete in the division of the oldest Stacker.
Stackers can compete on only one “Doubles” team within the PK through Open divisions. They may, however, also compete on one Child/Parent team.
A team can compete only once. Disqualification occurs if a team attempts to compete more than once.

The format of the “Doubles” Competition follows that of the Individual Timed Competition except that only the Cycle Stack is done. (Two warm-ups and three tries. We take your “Best Time” of the three tries.)

On a “Doubles” team, the Stacker on the right side must use their right hand only, while the Stacker on the left side must use their left hand only.

Partners can choose to switch sides and/or hands between tries.

The same rules are followed in the “Doubles” Competition as are used in the Individual Timed Competition with the following addition: each individual stack of cups, in both the up stacking and down stacking phases, must be handled by both Stackers. The one exception to this rule is the down stack of the last “3” in the transition from the 3-6-3 to the 6-6. That last “3” may be down stacked by only one of the two Stackers.

Round up a partner and prepare yourselves to take the “Doubles” Challenge where TWO stack as ONE!
